
Dana Hooper
Chief Executive Officer
Dana Hooper is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The New Media, the entertainment and media company founded and owned by NBA star, Draymond Green. Dana oversees the company’s business strategy and operations, while developing and executing opportunities across media, production, partnerships, sponsorships, appearances, speaking engagements, and other ventures. As an attorney, Dana evaluates, structures, and negotiates all company deals while protecting the interests behind the brand. She is also a producer of television, podcasts, and live theater.
Before starting The New Media with Draymond, Dana spent most of her legal practice as a partner at Greenberg Traurig, founding its Sports Law department while also practicing in the areas of entertainment, commercial litigation, and employment law. Dana has been a soccer agent since 2011, representing over 60 players worldwide. For many years, she was a Professor of Law at Arizona State University’s law school and master’s programs where she was named Faculty of the Year. A lifelong soccer and basketball player herself, she brings an athlete-centered perspective to her work and a deep understanding of the relationships among talent, brands, media, and business.
Dana received her undergraduate degrees in Legal Studies and Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley as a student-athlete. She earned her law degree from Arizona State University while working in the intercollegiate athletic department.
